January 25th, 2021 - Day of the Water Rooster
Today should provide lots of opportunities for most people, except maybe, the Sheep/Goat and Rabbit. The Tong Shu calls Monday a Success day and gives the green light for just about everything. Love. money, health, travel, it’s all favored. I will say this. For best results you probably want to play hard. By that I mean put out a big effort and, if need be, be a little aggressive. That should tell you why the gentle Sheep and Rabbit may not fare all that well today.
January 26th, 2021 - Day of the Wood Dog
The Chinese Almanac calls this a favorable day for wishful activity, a Receive day.. Yesterday I suggested playing big by playing hard. Today I still advocate playing big, but this time by taking a chance. Begin something new or close a deal. Hopefully your wish will come true. If you’re a Dragon, I wouldn’t get too excited. The Dog has a habit of throwing a wet blanket on your magnificent schemes.
January 27th, 2021 - Day of the Wood Pig
I was born in the year of the Pig, so it always gives me a good feeling to declare a Pig day is favorable. Even more than yesterday this is an auspicious day for beginning almost anything. And, yes, you Dragons can get in the game today. The Snake too! Your sign may be in opposition to the Pig, but I assure you we mean you no harm. The Tong Shu calls this an Open day. I’m open to anything; how about you?
January 28th, 2021 - Day of the Fire Rat
Sometimes, at least on the surface, Chinese Astrology seems hard to understand. Today, The Tong Shu says it’s not auspicious to start any important activity. Yet, the Rat is the first sign in the Chinese zodiac and is the sign most associated with new beginnings. What gives? Here’s what I see. Rat is a Water sign, and this is a Fire day. Their energies have a destructive relationship with each other. Also, if we look at the longer, 60 sign cycle that includes the element, we see Fire Rat is the thirteenth sign. Now I’m not saying 13 is unlucky in Chinese. Just sayin.’
January 29th, 2021 - Fire Ox
I love days like yesterday and today. Too often we forget Chinese Astrology signs have two components, an element as well as an animal energy. Again today we find the day’s element playing an important role. It’s an Ox day in an Ox month, not bad, but not particularly auspicious either. Yet, the Tong Shu calls it an Establish day and, for the third day in a row, gives the go ahead for a new activity. You see, it’s a Fire day in an Earth month. That’s a favorable relationship for producing Metal, and that means the potential for making money!
January 30th, 2021 - Day of the Earth Tiger
What do you expect? After three straight days of green lights, the Chinese Almanac has changed the signal to Red. The Tao Te Ching says we first have to empty our glasses to be able to fill them with something new and good. Well, today’s a Remove day, which calls for getting rid of something, so another, better thing can come into our lives.Saturdays tend to be a favored day for marriages - but not this Saturday!
