Lunar Month of the Water Ox

Here are the important things you need to know about the month of The Water Ox. We can draw upon its strong energy to help us plough through the many preparations for and participation in this month’s holiday festivities. Unfortunately its energy clashes with this year’s Tiger energy. I’ll talk about what we can do about that, detail each sign’s Luck and note this month’s Lucky Days.

Probably the most important thing we can do is to stay positive. As I said, we can draw on the Ox’s energy to give us the stamina to enjoy what could be one of the most rewarding times of the year. Also, this month’s Water energy is in harmony with the year energy. As for minimizing the clash I mentioned, it’s best to avoid conflict. Run away, don’t walk if you see a situation becoming difficult.

The Water Ox is more favorable for money than love. Remember that clash I told you about? Well, it would be wise to be careful with our relationships in the coming weeks. Ox energy favors stubbornness and an uncompromising attitude. Might I suggest doing the opposite, even if it takes us out of our comfort zones. “’Tis the season to be jolly.” It’s the perfect time to be nice to people, especially those close to us. Our relationships don’t have to suffer because of the Ox-Tiger energy clash! 

The signs with the best favorable, percentage ratings are Rabbit/Cat 74, Dog 68 and Rooster 65. The Pig 60, Snake 54, Rat 53 and Horse 53 are mildly positive. The Dragon 45 might find it a little challenging, and the Sheep/Goat 19, Tiger 24, Monkey 26 and Ox 28 more so. Tiger, Ox and Dragon can benefit by the advice I’ve already given. As for the Monkey, gamesmanship is out. The Ox is a straight shooter and has low tolerance for those who monkey around. The Sheep/Goat may not get as much love or emotional support as they’d like. To you I say, you have to give love to get love. That’s probably the best way to boost your rating. And, stay positive during those times you don’t think you get back as much as you give. It’ll work out in the long run.

Those ratings give us an idea how to act. Generally, the higher, the bolder, more aggressive, more proactive the better; that is, draw on the Tiger’s Yang energy. The lower the rating, the more reactive, conservative and compromising the better; that is, draw on the Ox’s Yin energy.

Now for the Lucky Days. January 11 is Lucky for both Love and Money, 9 and 21 for Love, and 6 and 18 for money. The most Unlucky day, surprise surprise, is January 13. It’s also probably wise to NOT plan big, holiday festivities for Jan 2, 7, 13 and 19.
